Summertime, And The Livin's Easy pt.II

As summertime is soon coming to a close and fall is upon us, I thought I'd share the last of my everyday adventures. The end of summer/start of fall is probably my favorite time of year. Daytime lasts for a perfect amount of time, the weather goes from boiling hot to warm with a nice breeze, I can bust out my dark jeans and sweaters, light candles, and start eat pumpkin-flavored food again without feeling weird about it. But as excited as I am for fall, it holds a looooot of changes for me (more on that soon, let's just say I have an announcement of sorts!) so many in fact that I can't even think about them without getting a little anxious. So instead of dwelling on the future, I am currently just trying to soak up every last minute of the present!

From the top, left to right -

1) Got invited to a fancy-schmancy dinner event at the Allied Arts Guild in Menlo Park, so naturally I grabbed my gentleman lover, Joseph, got all jazzed up and enjoyed the night. I never say no to anything that involves free food. Note: I'm 5'9" and wearing 5-inch heels in this photo. Ladies and gentleman, I've scored myself a taaaall glass-a water!

2) A beautiful screen shot from Julie & I's new ridiculous YouTube video, coming soon to a computer screen near you

3) Enjoying Outside Lands music festival in Golden Gate Park with my favorite fat girl partner-in-crime, Grant. Long story short - I was supposed to work the festival, work got cancelled last minute, work felt bad for canceling, gave me a free ticket. So in this photo I'm enjoying Willie Nelson....

4) ...and in this photo, I was being mind-blown by the Red Hot Chili Peppers...

5) ...and this picture was taken earlier in the day, enjoying the lanterns hanging in the park while on a quest for Choco-Lands (area of the festival that only sells chocolatey dessert-y items. If I could put the emoticon with the heart in its eyes right here, I would.)

6) Spent a lovely day catching up with the love of my life, Angelina. We got Chinese food and spent the day chatting, relaxing, and bonding with my pitbull, as shown here. PS - Angelina's amazing sunglasses are velvet-y soft. So jealous.

7) I like taking pictures of good food (yes, I am that person - get over it) and these macaroons were delish. I enjoyed them with Joe while we strolled around....

8) ....the Palace of Fine Arts, where I snapped this photo. I don't spent a lot of time there, but I wish I did!

9) My inner fat person was way too content after eating this incredible chicken pot pie. It was literally THAT good that I felt the need to include it here. For San Franciscans reading this, get yourself to The Grove on Fillmore and prepare to have a foodgasm.

These are just a few nice memories from the last couple weeks, and I know I'll have more to share before September comes - namely a trip to Tahoe, Los Angeles, and Monterey (where I'll be enjoying my 4th and last music festival of the summer! Crazy!)

On another note, I find myself driving to the city pretty often, whether it be for work or to meet up with friends, and I've now created what I deem my perfect summer playlist. My commute is normally about 45 minutes (the other day it was two hours, fuck you Bay Area traffic) so I get time to listen to a lot of music. This playlist is perfect for the days when the weather isn't too hot, so I can just throw on my shades, grab a coconut water, roll my windows down and enjoy the California sunshine -

Speaking of things that happen in my car, I mentioned in my last post that I've been having people take photos wearing my car's resident mustache that hangs from my rear-view mirror. Here is the result:

(From left to right, top to bottom: Angelina, Rachel, Dani, Kait, Shereen, & Parinaz. Dani and Parinaz are my favorite!)

And finally, when I'm not driving around the Bay Area, I'm using the FaceJuggler app on my iPhone. Julie introduced me and seriously, I'm obsessed. It's kind of a problem. Here's an example of FaceJuggler's magic:

(I think I make a pretty sexual guy. But Joe makes the worlds most terrifying woman - there are no words for how hard this makes me laugh.)
