An Afternoon in Lyon

Angelina and I decided to stop in Lyon for a night to break up what would have been an 8 hour train ride to Nice.  We got there late at night and had to leave in the afternoon, so we really only had about 4 hours to explore the city.

I wouldn't call Lyon quaint, or even cute really. It has a very mature, big-city vibe to it. It's a bit rough around the edges - there are hookers everywhere (Angelina and I like to play a game called "working or not working?")  but it has a really distinct energy to it that I really liked.

We sadly had to spend a lot of our time there sorting out reservations at the train station, but we did have time to walk around a bit, enjoy a delicious lunch, and hike up into the Old Town area where we enjoyed another gorgeous view.

In the end we decided that even though we could only enjoy it for a few hours, we're happy we decided to stop there.
